HukhLatri (pronounced "hukh-lah-tree", from the Kashmiri word for a craftsperson's workshop) was built from a simple frustration: most free online tools are cluttered with ads, slow to load, require account creation, or quietly collect your personal data. We built HukhLatri to be the opposite — fast, clean, private by design, and completely free.
Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. When you use our Word Counter, BMI Calculator, or Password Generator, your text, health data, or generated passwords are processed only in your device's memory. They never reach our servers. We cannot see them — even if we wanted to.
HukhLatri is an independent project by a team based in Jammu & Kashmir, India. Our team includes researchers and developers with backgrounds in software engineering, applied machine learning, natural language processing, and data science. Our lead researcher holds a postgraduate qualification in Information Technology with published work in computational linguistics and privacy-preserving machine learning.
We bring academic rigour to our tools: every calculator uses verified formulas from authoritative sources — WHO standards for BMI, RBI-standard reducing-balance EMI formulas, NIST SI unit definitions, and W3C Web Crypto API standards for password generation. Each tool is manually tested against known reference values before publication.
Every blog post on HukhLatri is written by a human, researched from primary sources (academic papers, official government publications, and technical standards), and reviewed for accuracy before publication. We cite specific studies, standards, and authoritative bodies. We update posts when information changes.
We do not publish AI-generated bulk content, scrape other websites, or produce derivative rewrites. Every article represents original analysis and writing. When we make errors, we correct them promptly and note the correction in the article.
Our calculators are built on verified formulas cross-checked against official references:

This means we cannot see what you enter into any tool — the architecture makes it impossible. We do display Google AdSense advertisements, which use cookies per Google's Privacy Policy. Every calculator on HukhLatri computes its results live in your browser using formulas we've built and verified ourselves — our EMI figures aren't copy-pasted from another calculator site, our GST splits are computed from the actual CGST/SGST logic, and our BMI thresholds are cross-checked against WHO and Indian clinical guidelines. If you compare our tools to others online, you'll find the same inputs but a site built from scratch, not a reskinned template.
