Draw your signature using your mouse or finger directly on the canvas. That drawing is captured as a transparent PNG image and embedded into your PDF at the exact position you drag it to, using pdf-lib. The signature becomes real, permanent content in the PDF file.
A drawn signature embedded this way is a "simple electronic signature," visually similar to signing on paper and scanning it. Many everyday documents accept this level of signature. However, for legally significant documents like contracts or court filings, many jurisdictions require a more rigorous digital signature with cryptographic identity verification, which this tool does not provide. Check applicable local law before relying on this for legally binding purposes.
Draw slowly and steadily for a smoother line. On a touchscreen, a stylus generally produces cleaner results than a fingertip. Use Clear and try again if unsatisfied.
Your signature and PDF are processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
